Business Development Manager

Join a growing tech company here in Charleston, SC. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for bringing in new business. You will create new opportunities through attending networking events, connecting with businesses in Charleston and surrounding areas, connecting with individuals through social networks such as Linkedin, Angel’s List, etc. Applicants should have some technical experience with web and mobile applications, or at least be able to speak the lingo. This is a full-time, salary + commission oppurtunity.

Job Description:

  • – Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
  • – Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
  • – Closes new accounts by answering telephone and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.
  • – Maintains and improves quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures.
  • – Maintain digital marketing efforts through occasional blog posts and social media postings.
  • – Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
